Killer Planet Pty Ltd
Ideas for Sustainable Humanity
There is a common saying among various greenocentric movements – “Save the Planet”. This is misleading as it implies that we will be doing some sort of altruistic act by doing so. The idea behind the name Killer Planet is that the planet will survive regardless of what our civilisation throws at it. We need to “Save Civilisation”.
Saying that the planet will survive doesn’t mean our civilisation should be complacent and continue on in the same way. It will survive, but not in the same form as we are accustomed to. It might not grow good vegetables, cows or grain. The sea might be too hot for fish to live. All of these changes will impact on our civilisation and how it survives into the future.
Carbon emissions are the fashionable pollutant of the moment. But reducing emissions now only helps civilisation from 2060. That’s great for our kids, however, our parents have already changed things for us. So how are we going to survive and what legacy are we going to leave our children?
This website discusses our ideas about Climate Change (and other environmental issues) and shows what we are going as a family to "leave a lighter footprint".
